Snack Bar Checks & Volunteer Shifts – Important Information

Each family is required to submit $200 checks as a snack bar deposit, based on the number of children registered in the league.

Check Requirements

• First child: 2 checks for $200
• Each additional child: 1 additional $200 check
• 5U Softball and Tee Ball Baseball:
  • Only 1 check for $200
  • Only 1 volunteer shift required

Volunteer Shift Requirement

The number of shifts required is based on the number of children in the league:

• 1 child = 2 shifts
• 2 children = 3 shifts
• 3 children = 4 shifts

All shifts are 4 hours. You must sign in and out at the snack bar for each shift. Your check will be returned at the end of each completed shift.

How to Write the Checks

• Checks must be written in blue or black ink
• Make checks payable to Redondo Sunset
• In the memo line, include:
  • Player’s first and last name
  • Division
  • If you have multiple children, list all player names and divisions

How to Submit Checks

• Place checks in an unsealed envelope
• Write the following on the envelope:
  • Parent’s first and last name
  • Player’s first and last name
  • Division
• Families with multiple children should place all checks in one envelope and list all family/player information on that single envelope
• Bring envelopes to the snack bar drop-off table at evaluations (or the Tee Ball/5U party)

Important Policies

• Turning in checks is non-negotiable
• All families are required to submit checks except board members and confirmed head coaches
• If checks are not turned in at evaluations, you will be contacted by the snack bar coordinator and required to drop them off
• Uniforms will not be issued until checks are received
• Buy-outs are not available at evaluations

Volunteer Opportunities

There will be several ways to complete your shifts, including:

• Snack bar shifts
• Apparel sales
• Field preparation
• Opening Day support

The SignUpGenius for shift selection will be available in early February.

Supervisors assist with opening and closing the snack bar and supporting shift transitions.

We will also offer the option to hire an approved high school worker again this year. An updated approved worker list will be sent out when the SignUpGenius is released.
